Johnny “John” Titus, age 64 of Salem, passed away at his home on Sunday, March 17, 2024. John was born on June 8, 1959 in Gary, Indiana the son of Richard and Charlotte (Stage) Phillips. He is survived by his significant other of40 years, Brenda Owens; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Steve Phillips and Allen Phillps; a sister, Cheryl Phillips; and an uncle, William “Bud” Stage and girlfriend, Carla Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard “Skinny” Phillips. John worked many jobs; he worked for Beckman’s Service, Dalton Van Lines, local junk yards, and local trash routes. He was always willing and able to help anyone that needed a hand, whether it be yardwork, roofing or plumbing. John enjoyed KISS, AC/DC, working on cars, and demolition derbies. He was a member of Evergreen Christian Church. Celebration of Life Services for John Titus will be held at Crouse Funeral Home on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 3:00 pm. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of the service.
